‘Not Another’ ‘Cursed’ ‘This International Break Is Screwing Us Over’ Fans React As Man Utd Suffer Fresh Injury Setback

Man Utd winger Patrick Dorgu picked up a hamstring injury during Denmark’s Nations League win over Wales on Sunday evening.

The 21-year-old was forced to leave the pitch just 30 minutes into the game, with Mohamed Daramy taking his place.

Following the injury sustained by captain Bruno Fernandes, supporters on X have been bemoaning the number of players who have encountered fitness problems whilst away with their countries:

Dorgu spent a long spell out with a similar problem last season

The Denmark international tore his hamstring against Arsenal in January, and it took him until May to make his comeback.

It will be hoped that this injury is not as serious as that one, but Dorgu will have to undergo an assessment by United’s medical team.

Even a grade one tear, though, will keep the player on the sidelines for several weeks, so it is likely that he will miss (at least) the first game after the international break against Tottenham.

Man Utd’s injury issues are mounting

There are currently TEN first-team players on the treatment table. Kobbie Mainoo (knock), Bruno Fernandes (knock), Marcus Rashford (groin), Karl Darlow (knock) and Amad (ankle) could potentially be available to face Spurs.

Fernandes has been carrying an issue for several weeks, but Portugal boss Jorge Jesus expects him to be in contention for the Denmark game on Thursday.

Amad has not played this season, but manager Michael Carrick is hoping to have the Ivorian back in training early next month. There is less clarity on Mainoo, Rashford and Darlow, but it is suspected that they pulled out of international duty as a precaution.

However, Benjamin Sesko is unlikely to feature anytime soon due to a chronic shin injury, while Tom Heaton (hamstring), Matthijs de Ligt (back) and Manuel Ugarte (knee) are still in rehabilitation.
