‘Great News!’ ‘Glad To See Him Back’ Fans React As Manchester United Star Returns After 3 Months Out

Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount has been pictured back in training for the first time since December.

The 26-year-old last made an appearance for the Red Devils against Manchester City when he sustained a thigh injury in the early stages of the 2-1 win.

Supporters on X are mostly glad that Mount is back available, although a few do question how long he will stay fit considering his recent fitness problems:

Mount will be hoping his injury nightmare is over

Since signing from Chelsea for Β£55m at the start of last season, the England international has struggled with a series of injuries.

Over the past two years, Mount has spent 259 days on the sidelines, with calf, hamstring and thigh issues. He will now be looking to remain fit for the rest of the campaign.

Amorim is a big fan of the United midfielder

Speaking about Mount following his appointment back in November, head coach Ruben Amorim lavished praise on the player:

“You see some moments and details where you can see that Mason is a proper footballer. We believe in him a lot and I especially believe a lot in Mason.”

Mount will, therefore, be hoping to feature prominently for United over the coming weeks.
