Man Utd manager Michael Carrick has confirmed that Casemiro will return to face Nottingham Forest this weekend.
The Brazilian international missed the 0-0 draw against Sunderland last Saturday due to a minor knock.
However, Carrick said that Casemiro will “be fine” to take part when the Red Devils host the Tricky Trees at Old Trafford.
That will come as some relief to the 34-year-old as it will be his last home game before his departure this summer.
Expected Return Date – Sunday 17th May vs Nottingham Forest (h)
Manuel Ugarte
The 25-year-old would have been in line for a rare start at the Stadium of Light in the absence of Casemiro.
However, Carrick said that Ugarte was not fit to play, having suffered an issue in the build-up to the Sunderland fixture:
“Manu had a problem in training with his back, so that’s the reason for that.”
Ugarte remains a doubt to face Forest this weekend. With Casemiro back available, though, the Uruguayan would probably have only made the bench anyway.
