The centre-back was substituted with 20 minutes left on the clock at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It appears Maguire picked up a hamstring problem, and he underwent treatment before Leny Yoro came on as his replacement.
A lot will depend on the extent of the muscle damage. Minor strains take 3 weeks to recover from so he could return shortly after the international break.
However, if he has sustained a major tear, there is a chance he could be out for much longer, with the worst-case scenario being two to three months.
