RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Xavi Simons is a target for Manchester United, according to reports.
The Daily Mail claim that the Red Devils have been in contact with the Dutchman’s entourage about a move ahead of the summer transfer window.
Any bid would depend on Ruben Amorim’s side qualifying for the Champions League but the majority of fans don’t want Simons to be signed due to concerns about his attitude and lack of consistency:

Simons would be an excellent fit for Amorim’s front three
The Daily Mail report that the Netherlands international’s versatility makes him an ideal player for United’s forward line.
Amorim prefers two inside forwards/no.10s either side of his main striker, which is a position that Simons would be very comfortable playing.
During his time at Leipzig, he has been deployed on the left wing, on the right wing and as an attacking midfielder.
Man United would have to pay a sizeable fee
A deal is not realistic unless Champions League qualification is guaranteed because Leipzig are demanding €80m (£68.5m) for Simons.
He only moved on a permanent deal to the Bundesliga side in January for €50m (£43m) plus add-ons and they are keen to make a substantial profit.
There is likely to be competition from other clubs for Simons’ signature too. Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City have all been credited with an interest in the player over the past few months.
