Man United Are ‘Frontrunners’ To Snap Up Next Eden Hazard Who Is Available For £30M – Report

Manchester United and Tottenham have been labelled as the two “frontrunners” to sign Lyon attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki.

The Frenchman, who has often been compared to former Chelsea player Eden Hazard, has had an excellent season, having scored 12 goals and provided 19 assists in 41 appearances.

Caught Offside report that Cherki is expected to leave Lyon this summer with Old Trafford and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium his two likeliest destinations.

One of the key reasons he has attracted so much interest is his relatively low asking price. He is set to move clubs for a fee between €30m (£26m) and €35m (£30m) over the coming weeks.

Cherki is being watched by a host of other teams

In addition to United and Spurs, Caught Offside claim that Newcastle, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace have been keeping tabs on the player too.

Clubs on the continent, including Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, AC Milan and Juventus are also contemplating moves for Cherki.

Man United are keen to refresh their frontline

It is expected to be a summer of change at Old Trafford with head coach Ruben Amorim keen to bring in players more suited to his 3-4-3 system.

A deal for Wolves’ Matheus Cunha is edging closer to completion, while the Red Devils are reportedly planning to bid for Liam Delap as well, after his £30m release clause was activated following Ipswich’s relegation.

Cherki is another player who would be a great fit for Amorim. He needs two number 10s to play either side of a target man.

A front three consisting of Cunha, Delap and Cherki would certainly excite supporters. A lot may still depend on the club’s outgoing business, though. Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho and potentially Alejandro Garnacho may all be sold off to fund this radical overhaul.
