Manchester United are hoping to secure the signature of Wolves forward Matheus Cunha “very soon”, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Writing on his X account, Romano said that the Red Devils are still negotiating the “final contract details” with the player but the general expectation is that he will make the move to Old Trafford this summer.
Supporters on X are excited by the prospect of Cunha moving to United, with the player having had an excellent season in the Premier League:

Man United have moved fast to head off interest from other teams
Newcastle, Arsenal and Nottingham Forest have also been mentioned as potential suitors for the Brazilian international.
However, Ruben Amorim’s side were quick to get the approval of the player, with Cunha reportedly keen on securing his switch to Manchester.
Cunha’s release clause is sizeable
Another motivation for pursuing the 25-year-old is the existence of a £62.5m buyout fee in his contract. The clause was included when the player signed a four and a half year extension with Wolves back in February.
While the price is substantial, United feel that paying the fee earlier in the summer will avoid any complications with PSR. It is believed that they need to get the bulk of their transfer business done before the new accounting year starts in July.
