‘I Beg. Hands And Knees’ ‘The Signing We Need’ Fans React As Champions League Winner Seriously Ponders United Switch

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has “discussed” whether he should join Manchester United with teammates, according to reports in France.

Newspaper L’Equipe claim that the Italian international, who has recently won the Champions League with PSG, is weighing up a move to English football.

Both Man United and rivals City are said to be in the mix for Donnarumma’s signature and fans on X would be ecstatic if he does make the switch to Old Trafford:

Why is Donnarumma looking to move clubs?

The 26-year-old is closing in on the final year of his contract and there are doubts over whether he will sign an extension with PSG.

After winning the Champions League with the French side, there are suggestions that Donnarumma is seeking a new challenge and a move to the Premier League may tempt him.

Man United are also targeting other keepers

With City and other clubs said to be interested in Donnarumma, there are no guarantees that the Italian shot-stopper will opt to join the Red Devils, even if he decides to leave PSG.

Ruben Amorim’s side have been looking at other potential replacements for current No.1 Andre Onana. Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez is reportedly another option, while the likes of Torino’s Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, Roma’s Mile Svilar,  Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen and Parma’s Zion Suzuki have been linked as well.

In other news, Manchester United and Manchester City are also competing to sign a Brazilian midfielder
