‘£250M Or Nothing’ ‘They Can Have Him. Show Us The Money!’ Fans React As Saudi Club Target Key Man United Star

Al-Hilal are expected to hold a meeting with the entourage of Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes this week, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Saudi Pro League side are keen to have the Portuguese international signed before the Club World Cup next month.

Fernandes has not signalled his interest in joining Al-Hilal so far and fans on X are split on whether the club should consider offers for the midfielder:

Fernandes only signed a new contract last year

It should be pointed out that the 30-year-old put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Red Devils at the start of the season. That would suggest he isn’t interested in leaving.

However, prior to that extension being signed, Fernandes was said to be flirting with other teams. With United struggling, you do wonder whether he would be tempted by a move to the Middle East.

Man United need to find ways to increase the transfer budget

With reports that the likes of Alejandro Garnacho are up for sale, it does suggest that the Red Devils are open-minded as to who they offload this summer.

Head coach Ruben Amorim needs resources to oversee a substantial overhaul of the squad. Of course, he won’t be keen on losing his talisman but the club could be tempted depending on the size of the offer they receive from Al-Hilal.

The decision will, of course, be down to the player. If he isn’t interested in playing in Saudi Arabia, he will remain at Old Trafford.
