Speculation has been rife about the future of Man United head coach Ruben Amorim all week. Some believe it is only a matter of time before he falls on his sword.
You do feel that the result against Sunderland could have a major bearing on the 40-year-old’s future. Even with that being the case, though, we don’t expect Amorim to rip up his system and try a fresh approach. He is wedded to his philosophy and we can’t see there being many surprises in his first eleven on Saturday.
Read below as we share our Man United predicted lineup for the match at Old Trafford this weekend.
Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Altay Bayindir – Amorim continues to ignore Senne Lammens, so we expect that the Turkish keeper will keep the gloves.
CB – Leny Yoro – Harry Maguire struggled against Brentford, so it’s likely that the young Frenchman will be recalled in his place.
CB – Matthijs de Ligt – the Dutchman has been one of the club’s most consistent performers this season, and he is at his best when playing in the middle of the back three.
CB – Luke Shaw – Ayden Heaven continues to sit on the bench but Amorim seems reluctant to start him ahead of his 30-year-old teammate.
