Midfield
RWB – Amad Diallo – after famously scoring a brace to win the derby in the corresponding fixture last season, fans will be hoping for more heroics from the Ivorian.
CM – Casemiro – Manuel Ugarte’s poor form makes Amorim’s decision to start the Brazilian a simple one.
CM – Bruno Fernandes – the captain needs to step up to the plate. His passing will be crucial if the Red Devils are to pose a threat on the counterattack.
LWB – Patrick Dorgu – Diogo Dalot is a doubt due to a muscular injury so the Dane could be recalled.
Forwards
RW – Bryan Mbeumo – the winger was signed for these types of games, and you would back him to cause problems for City’s porous defence.
ST – Benjamin Sesko – the Slovenian hasn’t really got going in a United shirt yet, but the injury to Mason Mount means he could be given a chance to impress from the start in a league game for the first time.
LW – Joshua Zirkzee – Matheus Cunha may or may not win his battle to be fit. The Brazilian may have to settle for a place on the bench with Zirkzee taking his place in the lineup instead.
