Man United Player Ratings From The Manchester Derby

Manchester United vs Manchester City will go down as one of the best ever Derby games as far as United fans will be concerned. However for City fans, it’ll surely be a day to forget.

The storm clouds continue to rain on Manchester City, who haven’t won a game away from home in 4 tries. On the other hand, United have now won 6 on the bounce, with a fixture list which makes that sound even more outstanding. Inspiring wins against Spurs, Liverpool and now City. United really have been nothing short of brilliant of late.

The game against Manchester City, for many, was one of the best of the season so far for United. Louis van Gaal has masterminded United’s ascendancy into the top 4, 4 points clear of City, and 11 ahead of Liverpool. An amazing turnaround when you consider that at this moment last year, Man City were 19 points ahead of United.

The man of the match was undoubtedly Ashley Young. But it could’ve gone to either Fellaini or Valencia who both gave brilliant performances. All in all, it’s been a massive turn around. Who’d have thought the likes of Smalling, Young and Fellaini would feature against City at the beginning of the season, let alone score.

Manchester United Player Ratings:

De Gea – 7

Overall, a brilliant Manchester United performance.
