Saha Claims “Future” Of Man United Star (Who Has Started 31 Times This Season) Is In Doubt – Exclusive

Ex-Manchester United striker Louis Saha says Rasmus Hojlund will have a decision to make on his future at the end of the season.

The Denmark international has only scored 3 goals in the Premier League, having bagged 8 in total across 31 starts, and speaking exclusively to Man U News (courtesy of Mega Dice), Saha predicted a potential parting of ways just two seasons after his £72m arrival from Atalanta.

“Rasmus is going to have to make a big choice over his future. There seems to be a mismatch between player and the club, and his confidence has dropped through the floor. It’s difficult to see. Things like this happen sometimes, but he can recover. It is all down to mentality.”

There is no doubt that Hojlund is feeling the weight of being Man United’s No.9 but it remains to be seen if the Red Devils will cut their losses this summer.

Where could Hojlund go?

Following his spell with Atalanta, the forward’s stock remains high in Italy and there have been reports that Napoli, Juventus and Inter Milan are all be keen on recruiting him.

Of course, there would be no point offloading Hojlund if United can’t raise a considerable amount of cash which they can reinvest back into the squad. Serie A teams usually prefer initial loan deals with an option to buy. You would think that such an arrangement would be a non-starter for Ruben Amorim’s side.

There were rumours about possible interest from West Ham earlier this year but those reports were speculative at best.

Do Man United have a replacement lined up?

It seems as if the Manchester club have made Ipswich’s Liam Delap and Wolves’ Matheus Cunha their main two targets to strengthen their options up front. Both have release clauses worth a combined £92.5m.
