‘We Are Screwed’ ‘Man U Is Cursed’ United Fans React To Latest Injury Setback

Man United captain Bruno Fernandes is expected to be sidelined for the best part of a month, according to reports.

The Telegraph claim that the midfielder sustained a hamstring injury against Aston Villa on Sunday, which will mean he could miss a significant number of matches.

Supporters on X are worried about how the Red Devils will cope without Fernandes:

How many games could Fernandes be out for?

If The Telegraph‘s estimate is accurate, the 31-year-old may miss up to six fixtures.

Fernandes won’t be available for the Newcastle clash on Boxing Day, the Wolves fixture, the derby against Leeds, the away trip to Burnley, the FA Cup tie versus Brighton and the Manchester derby on January 17th.

Unfortunately for the Red Devils, Fernandes’s likeliest replacement, Kobbie Mainoo, also picked up an injury in training just before the defeat to Villa.

It is believed that the 20-year-old has a calf problem, and it is not clear how long he will be sidelined for at the moment. Harry Maguire (hamstring) and Matthijs de Ligt (back) are the other two players currently on the treatment table.

Head coach Ruben Amorim will be able to welcome one player back for the Newcastle game. Casemiro served his one-match suspension against Villa for picking up 5 yellow cards.
