Man United defender Lisandro Martinez is hoping to be back available for selection by the end of October, according to reports
The Daily Mail claim that the Argentinian international will return to full training at some point this week. However, as the centre-back has been sidelined since February with an ACL injury, it will take him some time to recover match fitness.
Most supporters on X are delighted to hear that Martinez is closing in on his comeback:

This is good news for the team. I'll really love to see him back in the team for real. His injury record is just the painful thing. #mufc

When could Martinez make his first appearance of the season?
It is believed that the 27-year-old is targeting either the Brighton match on October 25th or Nottingham Forest on November 1st as potential return dates. That is almost a month earlier than expected.
Reports over the past week have suggested that Martinez may need another six weeks to regain fitness but it looks as though he is confident of being available within just two.
Amorim will be delighted to have the Man United star back
Head coach Ruben Amorim has deployed Luke Shaw on the left-hand side of the back three in the majority of matches so far this campaign.
If Martinez can regain the level he showed prior to his injury, it is very likely that Amorim will select him ahead of Shaw at the back.
