‘Makes Sense’ ‘Selling The Wrong Players’ ‘I Hope It’s True’ United Fans Debate As Solskjaer Mulls Over Controversial Summer Sale

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is considering whether to sell Anthony Martial in order to raise money to sign Harry Kane, according to reports in the English media.

The England captain is believed to be valued at between £120m and £150m by Tottenham, and Martial’s sale could partially fund a bid for the Premier League Golden Boot winner this summer.

Martial has struggled with form and injuries this campaign, and the majority of supporters on Twitter wouldn’t mind the club sacrificing the Frenchman if it meant they could get Kane:

It can be argued that Martial would be surplus to requirements if Kane were to move to Old Trafford anyway, so his sale does make sense from that point of view.

Signing Kane without selling players is unlikely to happen, especially if United have designs on snapping up Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho as well. It will be interesting to see what Solskjaer does.

The Norwegian may not have much time to make up his mind on Kane if the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea make their move for the 27-year-old in the coming weeks.
