Madrid lower asking price for Bale as United prepare to bid

Real Madrid have reportedly lowered their asking price for Gareth Bale as they grow tired of his injury-ridden career over the last few seasons.

The Welsh forward has made his name as one of the world’s best since his move to Madrid from Spurs, winning all there is to win at Los Blancos and bagging an impressive return on goals and assists individually too.

However, the Spanish champions have apparently given up on the 28-year-old, who seems to be suffering from injury after injury in recent times.

Bale was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United last summer, with the Red Devil’s reportedly willing to pay over £100m for the winger.

But with Madrid failing to sign Kylian Mbappe, they opted to stick with their man and hope he manages to rediscover the form he is capable of.

Bale has hardly featured so far this season, playing in just nine of Madrid’s 19 games so far this season, and his latest injury is supposedly set to keep him out for yet another month.

Now, according to AS, Madrid are now said to be regretting their decision to stick with Bale and have lost patience with him.

It is reported that he could be available for around £60-70m if he was to be sold next summer, a considerably cheaper fee than what United were quoted last summer.
