Luke Shaw Names Two United Players As He Reveals Who He ‘Fears’ Going Up Against In Training

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw says he always finds it difficult going up against Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial in training sessions.

The 24-year-old was asked who he feared most amongst the United squad, and while he said he didn’t really fear anyone, in particular, he enjoys the experience of going up against the pair:

“I wouldn’t say ‘fear’ is the right word because I enjoy playing against the likes of Rashy and Martial because they’re tricky, high-quality players and I like that challenge of facing them.”

Rashford and Martial can trouble any defence with their pace, power and athleticism, and it isn’t surprising that Shaw has named both of them.

With Rashford now on the mend from a back injury, it is hoped that he could be back in contention as and when the Premier League season resumes.

Martial, meanwhile, was in very good form before the enforced break in fixtures, having scored three goals in his last four league games.

With the prospect of Paul Pogba returning to fitness, combined with the added threat of Bruno Fernandes, it will be exciting to see such a wealth of attacking talent in action.
