Luckhurst Reveals United Have Made Transfer Decision On £87m Rated Serie A Star

Manchester United will not make Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly a priority target when the next transfer window opens, according to Manchester Evening News reporter Samuel Luckhurst.

The Senegalese international turns 29 in a couple of months time and the Red Devils are said to be focusing on players aged between 23 to 28.

It is also believed that despite United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rating Koulibaly among the best centre-backs in the world, the Norwegian is content with his current options in defence.

Napoli are said to be holding out for around €100m (£87.5m) for the defender, despite football having taken a big financial hit during the global health crisis.

Koulbaly’s asking price, combined with his age, means United are focusing their efforts on signing players in other positions, with a winger and a playmaker being the club’s two main priorities.

Luckhurst says Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish are the Manchester club’s primary focus at the moment.
