Luckhurst Reveals The FIVE Signings That Ten Hag Wants To Make This Summer

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is planning on making at least five signings during the summer transfer window, according to Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst.

The reporter claims that, while Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong is ten Hag’s number one target, the Dutchman is looking at strengthening other areas of the squad:

Luckhurst claims that Ajax pair Antony and Jurrien Timber are high up the list of priorities. The former has been linked with Liverpool and Chelsea but reports in Brazil suggest that the player’s agent has already held talks with United about a potential transfer.

Timber’s move is less clear-cut. The 20-year-old is believed to be concerned about his chances of making the Netherlands’s World Cup squad if he isn’t playing, which has raised questions over a switch to Old Trafford.

United are also hopeful of securing the signature of Brentford’s Christian Eriksen on a free transfer, whilst they are targeting a replacement for Dean Henderson, with Newcastle’s Karl Darlow and Watford’s Daniel Bachmann having been considered as options.
