Lindelof, Ronaldo And Telles To Start, Maguire, Cavani And Shaw Out: United’s Predicted XI To Take On Southampton

Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick would have been disappointed by the way his side lost their way against Burnley midweek, and the game against Southampton this weekend will be another tough test.

The Saints are in confident mood after beating Tottenham away from home last time out so they won’t come to Old Trafford tomorrow afternoon with any fear.

David De Gea will line up in goal for the Red Devils, but there could be a change in the fullback positions, with Alex Telles now out of isolation after testing positive for the virus. The Brazilian could replace Luke Shaw at left-back, with Diogo Dalot keeping his place on the opposite flank.

It would be a big call to drop the captain, but Rangnick may have no choice due to Harry Maguire’s poor form. Victor Lindelof could start instead, alongside Raphael Varane in the centre of defence.

With Fred still unavailable, Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba are likely to stay in the side, with Bruno Fernandes taking up his customary no.10 position.

Rangnick may recall Cristiano Ronaldo to the starting lineup ahead of Edinson Cavani, with Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford playing either side of him.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Play Southampton:

De Gea, Dalot, Lindelof, Varane, Telles, McTominay, Fernandes, Pogba, Rashford, Ronaldo, Sancho
