Manchester United have joined the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City in pursuing RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano, according to reports in the UK.
The France Under 21 international has a release clause of €60m (£52m) and he is likely to be sold when the transfer window reopens due to his contract expiring in 2021.
Supporters on Twitter think signing Upamecano would be a good move by United:

Although some don’t see why signing another centre-back would be a priority for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer:
Why do we need a CB ??♂️

An approach to sign a new centre-half would probably only happen if United offload Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo this summer.
Roma are keen to make Smalling’s loan deal permanent while Estudiantes would like the same to happen with Rojo. Jones’ future has also been called in question in recent weeks so a bid for a young defender to reinforce the backline cannot be ruled out.
