The agent of Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku has spoken out about the Belgian international’s future plans.
Federico Pastorello has said the striker is currently only focused on United’s push to secure a top-four finish this season, but he hasn’t ruled out the player moving away from Old Trafford:
“At the moment he is very focused on finishing the season. The competition for third and fourth place in England is very tight so let’s see what will happen in the future at the end of the season.”
“It’s his second season here and he will still have three years on his contract until the end. Let’s see. He’s someone who loves to know a different culture, a different football…”
“He likes Italy. When he was a child he followed a lot the Italian league. Everybody agrees today the Premier League is the best but years ago Italy was the best and they were the dreams for the younger footballer players.”
“Teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona, of course, attract any champion so he sees also in La Liga one day. Bundesliga for sure is a very good championship.”
Fans on Twitter don’t believe Lukaku is good enough to play for the likes of Real or Barca:
He might make the Levante bench if he’s lucky.

Tired of hearing agents always talk about other clubs/leagues, if you are not happy at United, just leave because it should be an honor to wear the Man United shirt, you should feel privileged. If you are happy at United just tell your agent to shut up!

The fact that one of Lukaku’s agents has decided to speak out in the media does suggest that the Belgian is open to leaving. The 25-year-old had to bide his time for starts under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following the Norwegian’s arrival in December.
It was only at the end of January that he was given his first start in the league against Burnley in a 2-2 draw. He has been a regular since then scoring crucial doubles against Paris Saint-Germain, Crystal Palace and Southampton.
