Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes could be in the stands to watch Manchester United’s game against Manchester City tonight, according to reports in the UK.
The 25-year-old has flown over for his medical ahead of his £46.6m move to Old Trafford, but supporters have jokingly called on the Portuguese international to stay away from the Carabao Cup tie this evening:
Let him have a day off, he can stay at Carrington. No need to come watch.

United lost 3-1 in the first leg and were thoroughly outplayed by their opponents, highlighting once again that improvements to the squad were desperately needed.
The impending arrival of Fernandes will certainly help begin to bridge the gap, but he will not be able to help his prospective new teammates this evening with his transfer yet to be completed.
The Portuguese midfielder is expected to sign a four and half year contract with the Red Devils with the club hoping he will be signed to play a part in their next league game against Wolves on Saturday evening.
