Leicester Star Speaks Out About His Future Amid Talk Of United Transfer

Leicester City midfielder Wilfried Ndidi has cooled speculation that he could be leaving the King Power Stadium.

The 23-year-old is reportedly on Manchester United’s radar but when asked about his future, the Nigerian confirmed that he is happy to stay at the Foxes:

“We are doing well and I am enjoying myself here. I still have a contract with Leicester. I am learning and trying to improve myself every day and I am doing OK here, so no need to go anywhere.”

Ndidi has been extremely impressive since arriving from Racing Genk in January 2017, with the midfielder having done an admirable job of replacing N’Golo Kante.

United are said to be looking out for another central midfielder, with Atletico Madrid pair Thomas Partey and Saul Niguez having both been linked with moves to Old Trafford in recent months.

While Partey has a release clause of €50m (£44m), Niguez’s buyout fee is believed to be closer to €150m (£131m) so Ndidi could well be seen as a cheaper option if the Red Devils were considering making a bid.

However, with the Nigerian international stating he is in no rush to leave Leicester, his club would probably fight tooth and nail to keep him.
