Latest United Injury News Ahead Of Tonight’s Game Against Barcelona

Alexis Sanchez is back in the Manchester United squad for tonight’s game against Barcelona. The Chilean has missed the last six weeks with a medial knee ligament injury.

He isn’t expected to start against his former side, but the 30-year-old could be an option from the bench for the Champions League quarter-final tie.

Nemanja Matic has recovered from an illness that kept him from playing against West Ham on Saturday. The Serbian was in the travelling party that flew out to Spain.

Ander Herrera has, however, failed to make the squad. The 29-year-old has been carrying a knock which prevented him from playing at the weekend and he hasn’t made enough progress to be fit for the Barca clash.

Eric Bailly is also still out of contention. The Ivorian defender suffered a concussion on international duty at the back end of last month. He was substituted after a nasty head injury in Ivory Coast’s 3-0 win over Rwanda.

Captain Antonio Valencia has been ruled out by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the Ecuadorian still recovering fitness after a calf injury.
