Latest Manchester United Report: Updates On Maguire, Cavani, Greenwood And Bailly

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said he is hopeful that captain Harry Maguire will be back in contention for the game against Chelsea this weekend.

The defender has a muscular injury which means he hasn’t travelled with the squad for the PSG game this evening but it is thought to be a minor issue.

Edinson Cavani was also not in the travelling party despite being available for the match. The Uruguayan has not played since February and after just one training session with his new teammates, Solskjaer says he will weigh up whether to include him the matchday squad for the Chelsea clash on Saturday.

Similar to Maguire, Mason Greenwood has a minor niggle, which prevented him from playing against Newcastle and he will not be risked versus PSG either. Eric Bailly and Jesse Lingard are also unavailable for this evening’s game due to unspecified fitness issues. It means Axel Tuanzebe is in contention to start, following his own recovery from an ankle injury.
