Latest Manchester United Injury Report: Updates On Varane, Sancho, McTominay And Rashford

Manchester United defender Raphael Varane was an unused substitute as France drew 1-1 with Ukraine in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday night.

It is believed that the 28-year-old sat out the game as he wasn’t 100% fit. It remains to be seen whether he will be available to start against Newcastle this weekend.

Jadon Sancho has pulled out of international duty with a minor knock. The 21-year-old picked up the issue in a training session last week and did not feature in England’s 4-0 win over Hungary on Friday.

Scott McTominay is likely to return to action at the end of the month, once he has recovered from groin surgery. Marcus Rashford is back doing gym work, following a shoulder operation, and there are hopes that he can make a comeback ahead of schedule in November.

Alex Telles (ankle) and Amad Diallo (muscular) both remain on the sidelines, but Dean Henderson and Phil Jones are closing in on their return to full fitness.
