Manchester United defender Raphael Varane will be fit to face Burnley this evening. The defender was replaced by Phil Jones in the defeat to Middlesbrough at the weekend but he did not suffer an injury during the game.

Jadon Sancho also went off in extra time, with the player seemingly feeling his hamstring, but manager Ralf Rangnick says that the 21-year-old was simply tired and should be in contention tonight.

Jesse Lingard (rest) and Edinson Cavani (fatigue) are both expected to be available but there is a slight doubt over Bruno Fernandes’s participation. The Portuguese international did pick up a knock against Boro so we shall see whether he is selected in the starting eleven.

Victor Lindelof has been absent with illness all week, so he is also touch and go, while Eric Bailly may need a late fitness test to assess whether he has recovered from an ankle problem.

Fred and Alex Telles won’t be travelling to Turf Moor, with the two Brazilians having tested positive for the virus.
