Latest Manchester United Injury Report: Updates On Varane, Martial And Five Other Players

Manchester United centre-back Raphael Varane is set to be sidelined for three to four weeks with a thigh injury.

The Frenchman had to be taken off during the second half of the 1-1 draw against Chelsea at the weekend but, after initially fearing that he could be out for the World Cup, it appears he may return to action sooner than expected.

Anthony Martial is back in training after recovering from a back problem that he picked up in the win over Everton earlier this month. Manager Erik ten Hag has also confirmed that Aaron Wan-Bissaka is closing on a return to full fitness following a muscular injury.

Captain Harry Maguire (hamstring) should be ready for action soon, although it is touch and go whether he will be fit to face Sheriff. A comeback versus West Ham is more realistic.

Donny van de Beek (muscular) and Brandon Williams (knock) are not expected to be too far behind in terms of availability, but Axel Tuanzebe won’t be back in contention until after Christmas.
