Latest Manchester United Injury Report: Updates On Rashford And Pogba

Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo has provided an update on the first team squad’s fitness ahead of the Red Devils’ game against Tottenham later this month.

Marcus Rashford has been out since January due to a back injury, while Paul Pogba has been sidelined for a similar length of time following ankle surgery, but Ighalo says both players are in full training ahead of the Premier League’s return:

“Everyone is back, even Paul Pogba is back training normally and Rashy is back training as normal. Everyone is training normally and training full and all that, so the squad is full and everyone is ready, I think.”

Although the pair are likely to be available to face Spurs, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have a decision to make over whether to start either player.

Premier League clubs have been given permission to play friendlies ahead of the season’s resumption but both Pogba and Rashford will need more minutes than that for them to recover match fitness.

It is likely that one, or even both, could start on the bench with Solskjaer keen to protect them against sustaining further injury issues.
