Latest Manchester United Injury Report For The Week

The injury crisis had eased at Old Trafford but during the international break, the number of Manchester United players out injured has increased to nine.

The latest to be sidelined is Romelu Lukaku who is suffering with a foot injury. The striker is a doubt for the Red Devils’ match against Watford next Saturday after being ruled out of Belgium’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Cyprus.

It follows on from the likes of Nemanja Matic (knock), Marcus Rashford (ankle), Anthony Martial (knee) and Luke Shaw (knock) who have all withdrawn from international duty.

With Alexis Sanchez still out with a medial ligament injury, and Jesse Lingard recovering from a hamstring problem, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to be very short up front.

The United boss may have to delve deep into the academy to strengthen his striking options for the Watford game, but even there, Mason Greenwood is currently out of action due to illness.

In other areas of the pitch, Matteo Darmian is still struggling to shake off a knock that has kept him on the sidelines since January, but captain Antonio Valencia could be set to return after a calf strain.
