Latest Manchester United Injury News: Updates On Varane, Maguire And Three Other Players

Manchester United centre-back Raphael Varane suffered an ankle injury during the 6-3 defeat against City at the weekend.

While the Frenchman is not expected to be sidelined for long, he is unlikely to be included in the squad for the Europa League game against Omonia Nicosia on Thursday, while he is also a major doubt for the trip to Everton this weekend.

Club captain Harry Maguire is still undergoing treatment on a hamstring strain he picked up playing for England on international duty, but reserve goalkeeper Martin Dubravka is believed to be closing in on a return from a muscular injury.

The fitness of both Donny van de Beek and Brandon Williams remains a bit of a mystery. Van de Beek has not made the bench since the win over Leicester early last month, with the player having suffered a knock of some kind.

Williams, meanwhile, hasn’t played a single minute in any competition so far this campaign and wasn’t selected for the Europa League squad, suggesting he will be out for the long term.
