Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw was spotted at the Carrington training centre on Sunday as the squad prepare for their Europa League tie against LASK Linz.

The 25-year-old is currently nursing an ankle injury and he isn’t likely to return before the start of next season, but we shall see if he returns earlier than expected.

Neither Axel Tuanzebe nor Phil Jones were at the training ground yesterday with both players unlikely to make their return to first-team action before September.

It is still not known what injury Tuanzebe has but Jones had surgery on his knee late last month and is expected to undergo rehabilitation.

Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay were also back at Carrington. Both players had been given permission to go on short holidays with neither likely to be selected for the second leg of the Europa League game. United are 5-0 up going into the match on Wednesday.
