Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw did not feature against Real Sociedad last Thursday due to a foot injury.

Manager Erik ten Hag has described the issue as a “small complaint” so the England international is likely to return to the squad for the game against Sheriff later this week.

Anthony Martial has been struggling with a persistent Achilles problem which has prevented him from playing since the 2-1 win over Liverpool last month. The Frenchman is currently not training so it doesn’t look like he’ll be back in action soon.

Donny van de Beek picked up a knock before the Arsenal game and he was subsequently ruled out for the clash against Sociedad. A return against Sheriff is a possibility.

Brandon Williams (knock) remains unavailable while Facundo Pellistri is expected to return to fitness sometime this month. The Uruguayan has an ankle injury which he sustained in a pre-season friendly against Atletico Madrid back in July.
