Latest Manchester United Injury News: Updates On McTominay, Shaw, Rojo And Jones

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay looks to be a major doubt for Wednesday’s Carabao Cup quarter-final clash against Everton.

The Scotland international put in a fantastic display in the 6-2 win over Leeds yesterday, scoring a brace and providing an assist but, despite playing the full 90 minutes, it is believed he picked up a groin injury.

Luke Shaw was substituted on the hour mark last night, with the fullback simply being rested after only recently returning from a hamstring problem. He will likely be benched at Goodison Park with Alex Telles taking his place in the team.

Marcos Rojo has a minor calf injury and he is currently not in first-team training, while Phil Jones is still out of contention with his recovery from a knee operation taking longer than expected.

It was hoped that the centre-back would return to action this month, but it looks as though he will have to wait until the New Year before he makes his first-team comeback.
