Latest Manchester United Injury News: Updates On Maguire, Martial, Diallo And Varane

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that captain Harry Maguire is available after coming through the 4-2 defeat to Leicester unscathed.

The 28-year-old made a surprise return to action last weekend, with it being originally thought that he would miss the match due to a calf problem. However, he played the full 90 minutes and will be in contention for the Atalanta game.

Anthony Martial is back in training but he is not deemed fit enough to make the matchday squad for tonight’s game at Old Trafford. The Frenchman picked up a knock whilst on international duty with France.

Amad Diallo is in the closing stages of his rehab following a thigh injury, and he will play some matches for the Under 23s before being back in contention for the first team.

Raphael Varane is still at least two weeks away from making his comeback, and won’t be in contention for the Liverpool game this Sunday. The centre-back sustained a groin problem during France’s win over Spain in the UEFA Nations League final earlier this month.
