Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo is still undergoing treatment on a hip flexor injury that kept him out of the Manchester derby at the weekend.
Reports suggest that the Portuguese international has been managing the problem for the last couple of months and he hasn’t been able to train over the last week.
Edinson Cavani remains sidelined with a groin problem that has kept him out of action for the last six matches. The Uruguayan has taken part in recent training sessions but manager Ralf Rangnick has confirmed that the player is still feeling pain so a comeback against Tottenham on Saturday is doubtful.
Luke Shaw was absent for the derby after picking up the virus and he still hasn’t been pictured back at Carrington, suggesting he too could miss the Spurs clash. There is one bit of good news, though, with Raphael Varane having returned to full fitness after the virus prevented him from playing against City.
