Real Madrid are looking to beat Manchester United and Barcelona for Porto defender Eder Militao, according to reports in Spain.

The La Liga side are said to be looking at sealing a deal for the Brazilian in the coming days, with the transfer taking place at the end of the season.

Brazilian media reports this week had indicated that Militao was favouring a move to the Premier League, with United, Liverpool and Everton all casting an eye over the 21-year-old.

Despite that, however, it seems Real have decided to jump the queue and attempt to snap up the centre-back before any of their rivals.

It was believed that Porto were asking for €75m (£66m) to let Militao leave this month, but an agreement for a summer switch could be secured for €25m less.

The Brazilian international only moved to Europe from Sao Paulo in the summer and has racked up 24 appearances in all competitions so far this campaign.
