La Liga Giants Issue Hands Off Warning To United And Arsenal Over 51M Rated Defender

Manchester United and Arsenal have been told a number of times by Atletico Madrid this summer that Kieran Trippier is not for sale, according to AS.

The Madrid-based publication claims both Premier League teams are very “interested” in the 30-year-old but Atletico have “referred” to his €60m (£51m) release clause every time the two clubs have enquired.

Previous reports have suggested that Atletico were demanding around €40m (£34m) but it could simply be the case that the La Liga champions have hardened their stance as we near the end of the transfer window.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been keen on providing competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back but, despite Trippier being a long-term target, it appears the Red Devils have cooled their interest in the England international.

It is believed that Diogo Dalot, who seemed destined to leave for AC Milan, will be given another chance by Solskjaer to prove himself.
