Juventus star agrees personal terms ahead of Manchester United switch

Juventus full-back Alex Sandro has agreed personal terms with Manchester United ahead of his long rumoured move to Old Trafford, according to reports.

United were heavily linked with a move for Sandro at the back-end of last season, but were understood to put off by Juventus’ huge asking price – which was rumoured to be in the region of €70 million.

But after losing out to Manchester City by 19 points in the Premier League title race, the Red Devils are now prepared to meet Juve’s asking price as they look to a mount a squad to challenge for the league next season.

And transfer expert Duncan Castles has now revealed United have agreed personal terms with the 27-year-old ahead of his move to Old Trafford.

Castles said on the Transfer Window podcast: “This summer United have decided to go for Alex Sandro.

“They have put a deal in place with the player, the player wants to (join) and Juventus are holding out for up to 60million euros (£53m).

“They (Juventus) have seen the market and are thinking they can cash in big time.”

Sando joined Juventus 2015 from Porto and has since established himself as one of Europe’s most highly rated full-backs.

In three seasons with the Italian giants, Sandro has made 114 appearances and scored 9 goals, however his performances were not enough to earn him a place in Brazil’s World Cup squad, with manager Tite preferring both Marcelo and Felipe Luis at left-back.
