Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi is open to a move to Manchester United this summer, according to reports in the Italian media.
The Frenchman could have limited opportunities in the first team this season at Juve following the arrivals of Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain and Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal.
Matuidi is said to be interested in challenging himself in the Premier League, but there is also a possibility of him returning to former club PSG.
Whether United would be keen on signing a 32-year-old, it remains to be seen. The departure of Ander Herrera means manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is lacking options in the middle of the park.
However, the Norwegian’s focus appears to be on bringing in younger players into the squad this summer.
Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff is believed to be United’s main priority, along with Harry Maguire, before the transfer window shuts in just nine days time.
