Juventus keen to take Pogba back to Turin

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri wants to bring Paul Pogba back to Turin, according to reports.

The Bianconeri have won seven consecutive Serie A titles, and already look in good condition to make it eight having won all three of the league games so far this season.

Despite such incredible domestic success however, they haven’t won the Champions League in over two decades – a record Allegri wants to change sooner rather than later.

The Italian boss bought Cristiano Ronaldo to Turin during the summer in the hopes the Portuguese forward could help fire them to European glory, and Allegri has now identified Pogba as the next player who can help the club match their European ambitions.

Pogba left Juventus in 2016 for Manchester United, however the Frenchman has endured a turbulent time at Old Trafford so far, with recent comments suggesting to could look to leave the club as soon as January.

The 25-year-old World Cup winner responded to rumours he could be on his way to Barcelona by saying: “Talking about a transfer, I’m under contract.

“There have been some little things with the coach, the relationship is always the same – coach and player. We have common goals, which are to win.

“As long as you don’t see me in the Barcelona jersey, it’s because I’m at Manchester, there will always be rumours.”

Juventus are also understood to be keen on Real Madrid defender Marcelo, who is out of contract at the Bernabeu in 2022.
