‘Just Sell Him For 25M’ ‘I Don’t Like The Idea’ Fans React As United Star Looks Set For Surprise January Loan Exit

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is expected to leave on an 18-month loan spell when the January transfer window opens, according to reports in the UK.

The 24-year-old was set to challenge David De Gea for the number one spot at the start of the season but the England international was laid low by the virus in the summer and it took him the best part of two months to recover.

With De Gea now firmly re-established as first choice, the decision has been made to let Henderson leave on a temporary basis. There was a mixed reaction to the story from supporters on Twitter:

The fact is, Henderson suffered a fitness setback at exactly the wrong time. After being picked by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer regularly at the back end of last season, he has made just one appearance so far this campaign, coming in the 1-0 defeat to West Ham in the Carabao Cup back in September.

Reports suggest that Newcastle are interested so we shall see if the shot-stopper does end up moving to St James’ Park in the New Year.
