Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek scored the equaliser as the Netherlands drew 1-1 with Spain in a friendly last night.
The 23-year-old calmly slotted home after a cross was not dealt with properly by Spain’s defence. His predatory instincts in front of goal are something he was known for during his time at Ajax but, despite impressing on international duty, he has barely got a look in at United since his £35m move in the summer.
Supporters on Twitter are calling on manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to give van de Beek more opportunities in the first team, following his goal for the Netherlands:
Just play this guy man

Solskjaer has a wealth of options in midfield, and it’s difficult to see how the Norwegian will accommodate both van de Beek and Bruno Fernandes into the same team.
Van de Beek has played in deeper roles for both club and country but Solskjaer is keen to have more defensive solidity, leading to him choosing the likes of Fred and Scott McTominay behind Fernandes in recent games.
