Journalist Reveals United Are ‘Trying Again’ In Attempts To Persuade Zidane But He Has One Major Reservation

Manchester United are “trying again” to convince former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane that he should take up the reins at Old Trafford, according to Sport Italia journalist Rudy Galetti.

The Italian reporter claims that the Frenchman is reluctant to take a job midseason, and that has hampered the Red Devils’ chances of appointing him as Solskjaer’s replacement:

Galetti does mention that Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers is the main alternative to Zidane, and he even suggests that there is an agreement in place for him to take the job at the end of the season.

Whether any of these claims from Galetti turn out to be true, we shall have to wait and see. As things stand, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to be in charge when United take on Watford at Vicarage Road this weekend.

The Norwegian is, however, on borrowed time and anything other than a win would put his job in further jeopardy.
