Monaco are “ready to sell” Manchester United target Axel Disasi for €50m (£44m), according to Foot Mercato reporter Santi Aouna.

The French journalist, who has a mixed track record, claims that talks between the France international’s agent and the Red Devils took place “two weeks ago” ahead of a potential summer transfer:

Aouna does mention that “other” Premier League clubs are involved. Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham have been suggested as potential suitors in the past so it’s likely that some, if not all, of those teams are also keen on the centre-back.

The 25-year-old made his debut for France at the World Cup, and his ability to play both in the centre of defence and as a fullback would make him a very useful squad player for manager Erik ten Hag.

If the likes of captain Harry Magure, and potentially Aaron Wan-Bissaka, are allowed to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season, Disasi could be seen as a decent replacement for either of them.
