Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane’s family are already “looking for a home” in Manchester, according to AS journalist Eduardo Cornago.
Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all registered an interest in the France international but, replying to a question on Twitter, Cornago claimed that the Red Devils have put the most attractive offer on the table:
“The Varane family is looking for a home in Manchester. He likes United’s offer and does not believe that Madrid will improve [his contract] conditions.”

It is said that Varane’s representatives have already told Real Madrid that he wants to leave the Bernabeu for a new challenge this summer.
Personal terms are not thought to be a problem, but the transfer fee remains a major bone of contention. Real are keen to get at least £60m for the 28-year-old, despite his contract running out at the end of next season.
However, United are hoping to drive down the price to between £40m and £45m, but that may only happen closer to the end of the transfer window. As things stand, Varane is unlikely to become a United player before the start of the campaign.
