Journalist Claims 16 Goal Nigerian Ace ‘Can Leave’ For 67.3M As United, Arsenal And Newcastle All Circle

Victor Osimhen “can leave” Napoli this summer if a club offers €80m (£67.3m) plus bonuses, according to Sport Italia journalist Alfredo Pedulla.

The Italian reporter claims that Manchester United are keen on the Nigerian international, but they will face competition from Arsenal and Newcastle for the player’s signature.

Previous reports had indicated that Napoli may hold out for a fee in the region of €100m (£84m) but this reduced price may bring United to the table.

Osimhen is still only 23 years of age, and he has scored 16 goals in all competitions this season, so he would likely fit the profile that the Red Devils are looking for in terms of a young striker.

Napoli are already believed to be eyeing Chelsea’s Armando Broja or Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca as possible replacements so Osimhen’s departure does look to be a real possibility.

However, United are looking at other options. Benfica’s Darwin Nunez is believed to be a name that features prominently in the recruitment team’s list of targets. We shall see who United decide to go after.
