Manchester United are one step away from signing Independiente del Valle midfielder Moises Caicedo, according to Radio Sucre journalist Marco Lopez Castillo.
The Ecuadorian reporter tweeted an update regarding the 19-year-old’s move to the Red Devils yesterday, stating that everything had been agreed between the parties, with only the contract left to be signed:
Una vez más, ya está todo acordado. Todos quedaron de acuerdo en todo. Pero el contrato aún no está firmado
La única forma de que se firme es que se dé todo lo legal

Castillo states there remains a “legal” issue which needs to be resolved before the deal can be concluded. It is believed that the work permit could be what is holding up the signing.
New Brexit legislation means every foreign player must qualify through a points-based system for a visa but, as Caicedo has already played for Ecuador and has featured in continental competitions, it shouldn’t be a problem.
Reports last week claimed Chelsea were looking to muscle in on United’s move for the midfielder but it looks as if his switch to Old Trafford is very close to happening.
